A Prayer from the Heart
Holy God, you know our passion is to use our skills and talents – our whole selves – to reach people with your love; to provide a community and safe space where we can connect with each other and with you; to minister to those who feel rejected or marginalised because of their gender or sexuality; and that we have a special heart for those in the alt lifestyle community.
Lord, help us and lead us.
Holy God, we give you thanks that you have equipped Helen and I with wonderful gifts; to build websites like this; to write; to teach; and to pastor and care for others through extending love and hospitality.
Lord, help us and lead us.
Holy God, although we dearly love the parish in which we serve, and are deeply grateful for the privilege of working in a beautiful place with incredible blessings, we find ourselves working in a non-affirming denomination, constricted by rules and regulations, and tied to a mission centred around buildings and property. But more than that, we cannot be fully ourselves and engage in the ministry to which we feel called.
Lord, help us and lead us.
Holy God, we do not know what the future will bring. We feel your Spirit nudging us and driving us to ccontinue to build the Fab Church platform and build in weekly community worship and meeting times. If this is your will, we will continue to work towards making this happen.
Lord, help us and lead us.
Holy God, we feel a little nervous and afraid to step out of the Anglican church where our faith has been nurtured over many years; afraid that others will not understand or accept our calling; afraid of not having a safety net below us. But you are the Provider and we know we must trust in you alone.
Lord, help us and lead us.
Holy God, fill us again with your Spirit and speak to us through others filled with your Spirit. Help us be expectant that you will lead us and guide us. Show us the way foward.
We put our trust in you. You are our God and we will serve you with all that we have and all that we are.
