A God-centred Philosophy
For us who are Christians, we know our first calling is to be obedient and to follow Christ — to put God in the No.1 spot in our lives and to ‘seek first the Kingdom of God’ (Matthew 6:33).
We also know that God calls us to be transformed by Christ’s presence in our lives and to join in with God’s mission in the world — doing the ‘good deeds he has prepared in advance for us to do’ (Ephesians 2:10).
Yet, many of us we struggle to know how to use our gifts and talents for God. What is our calling? What is our ministry?
This Venn diagram might be a helpful tool in the discernment process as we turn each intersection into a question. For example: What are the things I love to do? How do I spend my time? If I had a vision, what might it be?
There might be some intersections that we cannot answer, and it is in those intersections that we might spend some time in prayer with God.
