Dawn
Even though I sit in the cold of shadow,
God calls me to hold my head up high,
for the warmth of dawn is about to break.
I took this photo early morning on Axmouth Beach, Devon, UK. I was cold and shivering — the cliff behind me blocking the rising sun. Yet, when the sun did rise over the cliff edge and the beach was bathed in warm sunlight, the day became one of the warmest of the year.

The promise that can be relied on. The promise realised. Shivering and cold; seeing the light and warmth approach; then it arrives. Caressing your skin, feeding it, warming you. Dawn x
