Ditty
The other night, the weirdest thing happened to me. In a dream, I was to play the piano for a gathering of people, and they asked me to play folk tunes from a book. I play by ear, but slowly worked out and played this tune which was No. 49 in the book and called ‘Tina’. After the concert, I thought to myself that I really must work out how to play it properly and learn the song, and so I took the book with me. When I woke, I still remembered the tune, and got up to hum it into my voice recorder so I wouldn’t forget it, but as I lay there in bed, it was no use, I had to get up and record it! It’s called ‘Ditty’ and is part of my organic album called ‘Pieces for Piano’. Have a listen. Where is it from? It sounds so familiar yet I have been unable, even with Shazam and Google and YouTube and Spotify to find it!
