Prayers for this week.
Merciful God, we hold before you those affected by war and fighting across the world.
We think especially of wartorn areas such as Ukraine and Gaza and ask that those living in the chaos are provided with food, shelter, support, and encouragement.
Endue them with strength and determination and bring them your comfort and peace.
Holy God, we long for justice and peace in our world and pray for swift and diplomatic resolutions to all conflicts.
Inspire and encourage all who work for peace and give them opportunities to influence those in power, guide world leaders so that their decisions are wise, fair, and focused on love and equality for all.
Lord, in your mercy

Creator God, we lift to you our homes and the countries we live in and give you thanks for those who seek to protect our landscapes, our oceans, and our biodiversity.
Encourage us to be stewards of creation and show us how to work together for a sustainable, healthy, and harmonious future for all.

Lord Jesus, we give thanks for FAB church – for the warmth, welcome, dedication, and work of our members and friends.
Thank you that we are an inclusive church and remind us to share your love with all whose lives we touch.

Heavenly Father, we give thanks for our families, friends, neighbours, and colleagues, and at this time we think of those who need a touch of your healing love:
We ask for continued healing for Tim’s shoulder and arm.
For Lisa-Dawn’s friend, who is seeking further treatment for cancer.
For Martin’s former colleague, as she struggles with other people’s attitudes to her being trans.
For Ailyn, as they grieve the loss of another friend.
Bring them solace and encouragement, remind us to pray for them, and show us how to support them practically and emotionally.
Lord, in your mercy

And for ourselves, dear Lord, we thank you for paying the penalty for our mistakes, failures, and pride. Walk alongside us as we journey through this life, and help us to be Jesus to all we meet, especially those who feel isolated, alone, unloved or ostracised.
We give thanks that death could not hold you and that you rose again to welcome us to new life.
Amen.
Merciful Lord, accept these prayers
for the sake of your Son, our Saviour, Jesus Christ.
