This week on Fab…
Hello Fabbers!
Goodness, is it Wednesday already??? Happy Hump Day! If we’re honest, Helen and I are both mentally exhausted and we need some time out to recharge our batteries. It’s not that life is particularly difficult or stressful (no more than usual) but all of us need time to rest, and we have had little time to do so. We are going to make a plan to take the middle of a week off in November and I hope we can make it happen!
This week our Insight, Devotion, and Creativity all seem to align and feature children. We didn’t plan it like this, but love it when these God-incidences happen.
In this week’s Insight, Gav reflects on how, when we mess up and make mistakes, we fear punishment or rejection, but tha God will never turn us away and will never reject us. You can read his Insight (or listen to the podcast) called ‘How do I receive God’s mercy?’ here: https://fab.church/insights/how-do-i-receive-gods-mercy/
In this week’s Devotion, based on Luke 3:21-22 and called ‘Child’, we think about how, when we become a Christian we become a beloved child of God. We also become part of a community called to join in with God’s mission in the world. You can engage with the Devotion here: https://fab.church/devotions/43-child/
And finally, Helen wrote a short Creativity called ‘Kids in Church’ and how important that as churches, we not only welcome but embrace children and young people. You can read her reflection here: https://fab.church/creativity/kids-in-church/
We hope and pray you are all doing well, and that you have a good week.
