This week on Fab…
Hello Fabbers!
Happy New Year!
Well, I’ve got to admit, I’m a bit tired. Okay, so I’m a lot tired! Helen and I are doing ‘dry January’ and I confess that I tend to use alcohol to self-medicate my ADHD (i.e. it calms my active brain) and I know doing this is not a good thing! And there was you thinking I was perfect? Anyhow, eight days in and tiredness is no doubt a side-effect that will resolve itself as my body readjusts. But also, I’ve been super busy!
Between Christmas and the New Year I wrote and recorded a Christmas song, and then decided it would be a great idea to produce a video whilst all our local church decorations were still up, and so, on Saturday night this is exactly what we did. It was a mammoth undertaking but I can’t wait to share the results with you! As well as this major project, already this past week I’ve taken two funerals and had to cover for a colleague too. Yep, it’s been busy.
Anyway, all this is by way of me making excuses about why it’s taken me so long to get this newsletter out! Am I forgiven?
Last Sunday the Bible reading was John 1.1-18 and in this week’s Insight I reflect on Jesus, the Word (capital W) becoming created, flesh, or human. You can listen on FAB or subscribe to the podcast on Spotify, Apple, or Amazon.

Sometimes we come across things in our life that we want rid of — stuff that torments us or hurts us — and when we do, we need to trust, and simply ask, “Come, Lord Jesus.” This week’s Devotion is called ‘Authority’ and is based on Luke 4.31-37:

I hope you are all doing okay. I must try and catch up with everyone soon.
Sending heaps of love in Christ
