This week on Fab…
Hello Fabbers!
We hope you have had a positive week this week, and that you have known Christ with you in all you are and all you do.
Being a Christian is not easy — actually being a human is not easy — but we do our best to journey together, to support one another, and to stand with each other when things get tough.
This week, we attended the funeral of our dear friend and colleague, Elsa. She was only 46 years old when she died, presumably of a heart attack, and I know Elsa had been going through huge emotional trauma — but, when she died she was doing better because she was surrounded by Christians who loved her and continually supported her. Elsa had a deep and strong faith and her catch phrase wa,s ‘let us pray about it’. At her funeral, we sung the hymn, ‘O Lord My God’ and it struck me that singing this was like sticking two fingers up to the face of death and evil. Even though it was a sad and tragic event, nothing would stop us honouring Elsa’s God and we sang, through tears, at the top of our voices declaring, “How great thou art!”
How can I be the greatest?
This week’s Insight is a reminder for us to serve others with humility — to use our skills, talents, and faculties to bless others. You can read or listen to the podcast here:

Jesus was a king, born through the nation of Israel, who had come for the sake of the whole world, and that means you too. This week’s Devotion looks at the genealogy of Jesus found in Luke 3:23-28.
