This week on Fab
Hello Fabbers!
Well, it’s been a long week. Sunday was Remembrance Sunday and Helen and I put some extra effort into trying to make it memorable for our on-the-ground parish here in Bermuda, and then, today, the Archbishop of Canterbury resigned, admitting a failure to act in the most serious case of abuse the Church of England has ever faced. To be honest, as a survivor of abuse myself, I do feel for ++Justin. The perpetrator was not ordained, nor even under the authority of the church, and the matter, as far as he was aware had been reported to the police, however, he did know about it and failed to follow up. God only knows why. Today, I have spent time online counselling those triggered by the events, and this in turn has left me feeling a little tired and teary.
In this week’s Insight and Podcast we put our trust in God and lean deeper into Jesus, and like Simon, Andrew, James, and John, recognise who Jesus is, drop everything, and follow.

This week’s Devotion is based on Luke 4:3-4. In our ‘me-oriented’ culture, we often think that we don’t need God and that we can do this thing called life on our own, but that’s not God’s way. God wants us to be continually filled with the Holy Spirit and remain in a close relationship.

I’m hoping and praying this week gets a bit better, and I know some of you are struggling too. Do reach out if you need a chat.
All my love in Christ
