Fab News
This week on Fab!
Greetings Fabbers!
A few of us to connected on ZOOM yesterday for our first online social and it was great! There was definitely a common theme of ‘Creation Care’ which feeds nicely into this week’s Podcast on the poetry found in the first chapter of Genesis.
Tonight, Helen and I board the BA flight back to a wintry UK to see our families and celebrate an early Christmas with our girls. It is also my birthday on the 28th and we have booked a pub for a couple of nights to give us a little break.
Following the lead of the Spirit can be difficult, especially when it goes against what seems ‘right’ or ‘rational’. I am reminded about how, in the Bible, people often did irrational things when being led by the Spirit — like staying in prison when the gates were flung open, or heading out on a road not knowing where they were going. This week has been a bit like that for me. I made a decision that, to others is irrational and feels ‘wrong’, but deep down, I sense it is the right thing to do, and that the Spirit is leading. Sometimes we just have to take a leap of faith and trust in God. After I made the decision, an extraordinary and exciting thing happened (something I hope, in due course, to share) — something that felt like a confirmation of the difficult decision I had previously made — and it reminded me that there are no coincidences where God is involved! I am not sure if the two events are connected but it sure seems like it!
Anyway, this week’s Podcast I tackle something that can be tricky for some Christians — the topic of a literal six-day creation. Should the account in Genesis be treated like a modern scientific account or is there another way? You can read it here:

Our Devotions based on the book Luke continue and this week we explore Luke 4:9-13 and how God, through Jesus, has come to rescue you — continually — no matter how many times you mess up. You can engage here:

A reminder that if you are a Guest of FAB Church you can log in and comment as well as see our upcoming Gatherings. Our first FAB Worship will be on Sunday 8th December and you can see all the info here:

Thank you for being part of FAB Church and I hope it can be a place where we can be our true selves. As you may know, Helen and I have a ministry into a wide range of online sex-positive communities as we seek to be a blessing and be Jesus to the world and we appreciate your prayers. FAB is an inclusive church and welcomes everyone — no matter what gender or sexuality or how they express themselves. We honour and respect each other without judgement and do all we can to love God, each other, and the world around us.
Have a blessed week.
