Why do we need the armour of God?

Community. I think that that is what Jesus was encouraging when he said, “When two or more are gathered in my name.” We are meant to be community: Loving, Supporting, comforting, uplifting each other. It makes complete sense to think of the full armour of God as operating on a group level! We we can move together, cover each other, Build together, fellowship together. An army on a journey of love, Faith, truth, righteousness, readiness, peace, belief, and thought; All cloaked and guided by prayer 🙏🏾.
It is a wonderful experience to encounter and experience someone being Jesus to the world. And it is equally wonderful to be that Jesus to the world. After this message, I shared with friends how I saw them as a community delivering a message of love when I needed it a few weeks ago. And ironically, they shared with me how I had been there as messenger and support for them.
Last year I dressed as Ephesians 6, because it was one of my favourite scriptures… now I see it in a completely different way- not as a lone soldier girded and prepped, on my spiritual journey, but as a church and community, journeying together, as One for Christ. And that is incredibly uplifting and gratifying. A family/church/ community on a mission together. Nous ne somme pas seuls.
Amen and thank you for the insight.
