Why is baptism all about water?

So our baptisms are symbolic (being cleansed), a commitment to mission and purpose, a link to the beginning of our existence, and also an homage to Jesus’ baptism when God spoke and was heard by men, and when Jesus was imbued with the Holy Spirit!? That’s amazing and special! It’s not just a declaration of our commitment, but a representation of our connection to all Christians…! 💗
